Villa Overview
The photographs of this amazing luxury Croatia villa just cannot do it justice! It is a protected historic property, once the summer residence of a wealthy Dubrovnik family, and has been transformed very cleverly to preserve the building fabric yet providing the ultimate in luxury vacation living.
A walled garden provides total privacy, and you have six en-suite bedrooms (one opening onto the garden), a well-equipped kitchen plus a profession kitchen for a chef, plenty of areas to relax in and your own private chapel in the grounds, and an attentive concierge, ensure you feel like a million dollars! The villa often hosts weddings or events, so do get in touch early in your planning to see what is possible.
Located in lovely Zaton, just up the coast from stunning Dubrovnik Old Town, you are on the water’s edge and within a couple of metres a selection of restaurants and bars. Zaton village is charming, yet only 25 minutes’ drive from stunning Dubrovnik Old Town and a 45-minute transfer from the airport.
Location Overview
The sea in Zaton is a particularly vivid colour and one can understand why it was a favourite of the old Dubrovnik aristocratic families who built holiday villas here. It is a charming bay, a picturesque little settlement that stretches around a horseshoe-shaped bay, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine and swimming in the sea. Mali Zaton and Veliki Zaton (Little Zaton and Big Zaton) are the two villages here, and between the two are little coves and swimming spots and plenty of pine trees for shade. It’s a perfect walk around the bay, and well set up to just get as far as one of the little sea-front restaurants to stop and watch the world go by whilst sipping a glass of local wine!
You’re also close to Dubrovnik here – just 8km – served by taxis buses and water taxis. Also close is car-free Kolocep island, one of the three Elafiti islands, with its sandy beaches. The Sun Gardens resort is just around the headland, which also has restaurants, beaches, spa facilities and water sports.
