VILLA LARUL - KONAVLE, DUBROVNIK RIVIERA
Sleeps 8 | 4 Bedrooms | 3 Bathrooms | Pool | Badminton | Wine cellar
Villa Overview
This luxury Konavle villa has spade-loads of activities to keep you amused when you tire of relaxing by the pool. Once a large family home, the villa’s design has maximised its potential, restoring the old olive mill to create a konoba (or ‘party house’), with something for everyone: inside you have a pool table, table football and dart board, and to maximise use of the stone built BBQ, there is a large table and chairs, a food preparation area including a sink and fridge, bar, fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher, ice maker, a TV and Music system which plays from CD, USB or by connecting a smart phone or iPod. Three bicycles are provided for your enjoyment.
The beautiful gardens include a Glorijet terrace (a traditional covered terrace) with a large screen TV, and a 4.8m long table for 20 people made from 120 -year-old northern Croatian Slavonian oak, another BBQ and a bread oven. The area also has power points for your gadgets and has a projector and screen ideal for catching up with sports and similar events in the pleasant summer nights.
The 4-bedroom villa is well served by technology. Every room has LED TV with USB port, and a large living room has a LED TV with satellite TV, Apple TV, DVD, CD and USB players. There is also a fax and printer, telephone and video surveillance. Wireless Internet is available throughout the house and garden.
The garden is a delight, filled with Mediterranean plants including herbs and fruit trees (orange, lemon, quince, pear, cherry, Nespoli, olives, figs, almonds, wild pomegranate).
Location Overview
The Konavle region of the Dubrovnik Riviera is rich in culture, gastronomy and vineyards! Encapsulating seaside Cavtat Bay and beautiful countryside, this area has peaceful scenery whilst being close to the sea and sights of Dubrovnik.
We’d recommend sampling the fare at one of the area’s Konobas – local, organic eateries that specialise in the best seasonal food on offer. Try Konavoski Dvori with its local specialities, and superb ambiance. Complete with stream and millstone, its location on the River Ljuta is idyllic.
Beach-wise, head for Cavtat, or the famous and wildly beautiful Pasjaca Beach!
If you’re feeling active, there’s horse-riding, walking, off-roading, activity parks, diving and folk-lore events!
Of course, you are also close to the Montenegrin border here which makes for an attractive day trip.
