DUBROVNIK RIVIERA
The best locations to stay in your Croatia luxury villa. A Dubrovnik Croatia Holiday is an idyllic choice for beach lovers, food and wine lovers, any those who adore sightseeing and picturesque scenery… Whether you are looking for villas near sightseeing, luxury villas with a pool, villas with views or family villas, these are some of the most wonderful Dubrovnik Croatia Holiday locations in Croatia.
Dubrovnik Croatia Holiday
There’s a good reason why the coastline of the Dubrovnik Riviera is dotted with yachts… The picturesque Dubrovnik coastline, its balmy evenings and incandescent pink sunsets are a draw indeed and the exclusive nature of Dubrovnik itself, set apart at the southern most tip of Croatia, make it an easy hideaway for those in search of privacy but excitement of this heady place.
DUBROVNIK OLD TOWN
With veritable old world charm and atmosphere, Dubrovnik Old town retains its authenticity and truly is a sight to be seen and explored. Eclectic and vibrant, with a myriad of old streets and quirky little bars, it’s a pleasure to while away the hours in and certainly hard to leave. A guided tour is a must along with a hike to the top of the city walls from where you reap spectacular views indeed. A wine tasting tour of the old town is highly recommended to try out some spectacular local Croatian wines in situe! For a longer and more indulgent evening, Restaurant 360 is a must. Looking out across the old town harbour its Michlin star speaks for itself.
MLINI BAY
The sweeping bay of Mlini sits just 20 minutes boat ride around the coast from Dubrovnik Old Town making it the perfect bolthole for a dynamic stay on the Dubrovnik Riviera. Close enough to the iconic old town to visit for dinner if you wish Mlini Bay is a delightful and beautiful location to relax without needing to go anywhere if you don’t wish to. Known for its turquoise coves and beaches and set under a wash of shady pine trees, Mlini has a laid back atmosphere and plenty of delectable eateries to while away the days and evenings. A convivial and eclectic jazz and cocktail bar, watersports like kayaking and scuba diving, and beautiful walks and sunsets are all within a wander.
PLAT BAY
Calm and peaceful, Plat Bay has beautiful mill pond sea and the serenity is audible! It is a wonderful place to get a bit off the beaten track at the heart of the Dubrovnik Riviera. Walk along the path from Mlini Bay or take the local boat line from Mlini or Cavtat and explore the coastline, much of which remains unchanged from decades ago.
ZATON BAY
Zaton Bay is a picturesque bay made up of the two sleepy villages of Zaton Veliki and Zaton Mali. The allure of Zaton bay is its old world charm and sea side living. Wander down to its waters’ edge restaurants and little beaches with fishing boats that sit in the shimmering bays and just relax… Although it feels like a laid back village, Zaton is in fact one of the closest bays to Dubrovnik old town that you can be in if you want to rent a Croatian villa. Its great location on the Dubrovnik Riviera is certainly a draw and you can be in Dubrovnik old town in about 20 minutes by car or by speedboat.
ORASAC
On the hillside on the edge of the Dubrovnik coastline, right opposite the Elafiti islands, Orasac has striking views out to sea. Hidden beaches are nestled at the bottom of the hill if you explore and you must try the local speciality restaurants of Savonari up on the hill and Laptalo slightly more inland. Close to Dubrovnik Old Town but away from the hustle and bustle, Orasac has built in privacy, but plenty of access to facilities at the Radisson Blu nearby.
CAVTAT BAY
Cavtat Bay has the ultimate Riva (promenade) for sitting with a coffee or glass of wine and enjoying the view. With plenty of café bars and reputed restaurants along the front it is certainly a nice spot. Cavtat is also a natural haven for boats and is a popular mooring place for yachts and mega yachts alike. The old town of Cavtat is charming and pretty but head out around the peninsula for a beautiful shaded wander to take in the views all the way to Dubrovnik Old Town and dip down to the little cocktail bars en-route. The other side of Cavtat Bay has longer stretches of beach and little bays with wonderful eateries to watch the sun go down to.
