VILLA SINATRA – SUMARTIN BAY, BRAC ISLAND
Sleeps 6+2 | 3 Bedrooms & Sofabed | 3 Bathrooms | Pool | By the sea
Villa Overview
Villa Sinatra is a little slice of heaven – a Croatia villa with mooring, tucked away just above the beach – you can just chill out by the pool all day, or perhaps go for a dip in the beautiful crystal Adriatic after lunch and then as the sun sets saunter into lovely Sumartin for dinner at one of the little restaurants there.
A huge favourite with our customers, Villa Sinatra is a lovely Croatia villa with mooring on the edge of pretty Sumartin Bay. The villa has a lovely large garden and good sized pool. It is surrounded by several terraces for sunbathing or sitting in the shade. A big rustic table sits next to a traditional Croatian BBQ with outdoor summer kitchen, so alfresco dining has that special atmosphere and is a joy.
The villa consists of two apartments, connected by an external staircase:
Ground Floor:
On the ground floor is a small apartment with one bedroom, a living room with a double sofa bed, kitchen, and bathroom with toilet.
First Floor:
On the first floor is an apartment with two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. All terraces are with sea views.

Location Overview
This is an idyllic location – Puntinak is just around the bay from pretty little Sumartin Town. It is approximately 20 minutes walk from the village of Sumartin Bay for grocery shopping and general amenities. It’s a very pretty village surrounding a small harbour with lots of colourful boats bobbing around. The bay has some beautiful beaches and coves. There are some nice restaurants here too or for a change the sea side town of Bol, famous for its stunning Zlatni rat beach is just 20 minutes drive away – but do explore a bit – if you go right to the end you will see a small church there is a little beach just past it beloved by the locals – beautiful and calm.
For more activity, why not make the most of a superb boat trip to Hvar Island and Hvar Town and to some top spots around the islands, with lunch – definitely recommended. Or, Makarska on the mainland, is easily accessible in around 50 minutes on the ferry and makes for a good day trip. Go as a foot passenger; it’s much easier.

“Hi Helen
We had a really lovely time thank you and enjoyed exploring Brac. The villa owners were very responsive and super helpful – they organised extra wood for the BBQ, and fresh fish one night and lent us a cool box for picnics and sundowners on the RIB we hired. They also let us stay beyond check out as no-one was coming in the following day which was fantastic as we were on a late flight. RIB hire all went well – although you do have to swim out to the mooring but not a problem in lovely warm sea. I think you do either need a car or a boat for this villa especially in the heat.
Villa well appointed and lovely outside spaces. The road below wasn’t busy enough to disturb us. Some feedback is either to warn customers about mosquitoes at that time of year.
We cooked at home and the kitchen was well equipped if small! We also used the restaurants in walking distance (one on the same road as the villa and the other below which is almost over the water. We had good meals at both although as we knew Croatia not great for our vegetarian son.
The taxi driver also very helpful and didn’t charge us extra to stop off at one of the large supermarkets in Supetar on the way to the villa.
Hope that is helpful and thanks once again.

“Hi Helen, I hope that you are well,
Where do start? From the moment we first looked at your website, along time ago, I had the feeling that we were looking at something special. On behalf of our group I would like to thank you for your professionalism & understanding during this difficult period, I have to say it was well worth the wait.
It was a little bit onerous sorting paperwork for 6 people prior to travel, but again worth the effort, as we had a very easy transit both at Leeds Bradford & at Split.
Our stay in Split was great, it’s a beautiful city. On to Brac. Our driver was waiting for us as promised & gave us a detailed history of the Island en route, Sandra was waiting for us when we arrived, we were overwhelmed at the beauty of villa Sinatra both the Villa it’s self & the location with the fabulous views over the bay. Villa Sinatra was the perfect place for us to wind down following a difficult 18 months, location is brilliant with local bars 200m from the Villa & the village a short walk away. We expected to find the local supermarket a bit small but far from it, we found everything that we needed for 6 people for a week. The villa facilities are first class, very clean & comfortable, pool is perfect, terraces well positioned, so good in fact that we only had 1 day out (to Bol) Sandra and her husband checked in every other day & always came with gifts such as their own Olive oil, fresh & dried figs & even a farewell gift for the girls!, it was very thoughtful & much appreciated. We were blessed with the weather, 14 days of sunshine & 29-31 degrees.
To summarise, we couldn’t fault any part of the trip from the initial booking to our arrival at home on Saturday evening. We will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone thinking of Croatia as a holiday destination. On behalf of our group could I thank you once again.
Kind regards M, C, S, L, R & R” September 2021.
“Hi Helen
I totally agree with you regarding the [quarantine] announcements, it would make so much more sense if it ran to Sunday! I was so, so sad when we had to leave early.
We had an amazing time and the service provided by yourselves and the host were simply amazing. During the run up to the holiday everything was explained really clearly and the additional COVID administration that we were signposted to complete, ensured that we had everything we needed on arrival.
Unfortunately, one of our bags ended up going to a different island but you and the host assisted us with this. Rather than wait 6+ hours at the airport the host arranged for the bag to be collected and dropped to the villa.
On arrival at the villa, the host and his wife met us and gave us a comprehensive tour of what we needed to know. The host assisted us with booking a restaurant on the 1st evening and booked us onto a fantastic speed boat tour that enabled us to see so much more of the coast. The host checked in and cleaned the pool every day and left us fresh figs, olive oil and pancakes which was a wonderful and unexpected surprise.
Croatia has been on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. Thank you so much!
Regards, Jenny” August 2020
“Hi Helen,
Everyone had a wonderful time. The views from the villa were breath taking and the entire place surpassed our expectations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we loved the view of Sumartin Bay. Also, the hosts were fantastic, helping to provide charcoal, matches for the BBQ and a welcome/leaving gift.
- The downstairs villa is now decorated with a more neutral colour, compared to the lime green seen in the photos
- I’d also highlight how close the access is to the sea. It was great to simply cross the road and the walk down a flight of steps to get down to the water. I know that one of our concerns was that access to the sea might not be possible from the rocks with young children. But this was not the case as entry into the sea is shallow and there are numerous areas to enter the sea within a short walk of the villa. I’d probably also recommend a short walk to the bay at the end of the road (turning right from the villa). It’s a beautiful little spot and you walk by the beach bar and the cocktail bar along the way for refreshments.
- Concerning restaurants:
- The Bilin, which was a 50m walk from the villa, was recommended to us by our driver Stanko. I thought this was a good choice, albeit not necessarily the cheapest in the area. Not the first choice if you have young children in your party.
- The beach bar – Kartolina we thought was great for families and chilling near the sea. Extensive menu which is good value. The food surpassed our expectations, so much so, we returned on a few occasions. They also offer take away pizza which is convenient should guests choose not to eat out or cook in the villa. They also do ice creams for the kids. First choice for families.
- The Konoba Top, was another restaurant we tried in Sumartin. Again, I thought the food was good and I wouldn’t hesitate to go again.
- The cocktail bar is close by and a lovely spot for a drink during the day. It’s less than 10 min walk from the villa And stays open until 2am if people want a late drink (although not sure it is still open after the end of Aug). We enjoyed snorkelling to it from the villa. They also do snacks for a lunchtime nibble.
- Finally, we recommend guests bring a torch if they plan to walk into/ back from Sumartin at night time as there is not much street lighting and no designated path.
Hope the above helps. Best regards, Matt” August 2020
“Hi
Yes, it was fantastic thanks- best family holiday yet!
It’s hard to express just how much we loved our week in Villa Sinatra! It’s a lovely, well-maintained, comfortable house in a simply stunning location. We looked at Sinatra and it made the short list three seasons on the trot and we’re so glad we finally booked it this year. The pool area was perfect with fantastic views of pretty Sumartin from the comfy loungers and lovely eating areas. We hadn’t realised quite how close it would be to the sea (30m maybe?) which made it so easy to nip from the house to snorkle, swim and try stand up paddle-boarding. We’d wondered if our kids (8&6) would be ok to access the sea but it’s actually really easy off the rocks/platforms straight into the beautiful Adriatic. We especially loved being in a quieter part of the island – away from crowds, but still with a good choice of restaurants. Our favourite place to eat was Kartolina which is a fab little restaurant, 5 mins walk away and right next to the sea. It calls itself a beach bar but is actually a restaurant which serves, breakfast, lunch & dinner & serves lots of the usual crowd-pleasers including pizza, burgers, steak, calamari, kebabs, salads, fries and so on. We had 1 breakfast and 3 dinners there – all with stunning views, friendly service and all good value. The kids can play on the beach or even swim just a few yards from you whilst you have a drink or coffee and keep a safe eye on them. You need to book though!
We also ate at the Sumartin Italian restaurant on the little jetty. It’s in a lovely spot and was actually pretty good for family meals, especially the stuffed pasta.
I’d recommend boat hire through Sumartin – Rent. You don’t need a licence and it was v straightforward + we found maybe 6 beautiful hidden coves & ate at a lovely beach restaurant (Eco) which we’d never have found without the boat.
In summary… Holiday heaven! I’d 100% recommend Sinatra for a family holiday or 2-3 couples. Sandra and Vito are lovely and there if you need them or leave you alone if you don’t – perfect hosts!
Best, Carrie” August 2018
“Hi, I just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely holiday and very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Sinatra.
The villa was fabulous – in fact the views are even better than the pictures due to a number of trees in front of the property that have been cut down.
The owners Petar & Sandra were great, there on arrival and when we left and both extremely friendly & helpful.
Thanks too for all your help with the booking etc, the information provided was extremely thorough & useful.
Kind regards, Alice & John” September 2017
“Hi Helen, The villa was lovely, it was just as described and the photos were spot on, The villa owners were very nice and helpful and friendly and were on hand for any questions. Both of your reps were helpful with the taxi bookings and I would recommend You guys to anyone.
Thanks for a super holiday, Amanda” August 2017
“We met Viktor and his family a good few times and they were brilliant. I hope they’ll come and visit us if they ever come to Scotland. He dropped off fresh figs, olive oil and tomatoes on a regular basis.
Best local bar/food by some distance was the beach bar Kartolina although Bilini was ok as well. In terms of trips we went to Bol and Zlatni Rat which was okay but far too busy. Best day was when we hired a speedboat for the day and went over to Jelsa for breakfast, Hvar town for mid-morning coffee and the small island Cedron for lunch.

“It seems a long time ago now but we adored the place. The views from the villa were stunning and we really liked being that side of the bay, so nice and quiet but easy to pop round to the other side for a coffee. The proximity of the sea and being able to walk down the steps opposite and dive in was great, and we had a daily lengthy swim for exercise in the sea, and used the pool for cooling off.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed a very restful stay. It was quiet and unspoilt, so I don’t think it would be everybody’s cup of tea if you’re looking for lots of night-life, but for us it was perfect.
Vito was very kind and attentive, and everything seemed to work smoothly with your company so no complaints there.
I hope this was helpful. Best regards, Alan C” July 2017
“Hi Helen,
Lou has passed this to us all for us to feed back to you. First and foremost we had the MOST fantastic holiday. Croatia was a first for all of us and we will definitely return. Weather was perfect and the country beautiful. Food and people were amazing too! Between you and Lou, you organised the perfect holiday.
We LOVED the villa in Sumartin, it was perfect for us – spotlessly clean, quiet, great location, stunning views and we hired a boat for a few days, so the ability to moor it below was an added bonus. The layout of the separate apartment downstairs worked well too as we had some friends that came out with their teenage son so they could be independent. The pool was beautiful and the owners had left a SUP for us to use.
The owners were great and met us on arrival and came back several times to make sure we were ok, bringing fresh figs and olive oil as gifts – couldn’t fault them.
There was an excellent restaurant up the road and perfect couple of bars locally too, overlooking the bay.
The people that were supposed to be renting us bikes let us down at the last minute so we walked into Sumartin to rent some more, but ended up getting quad bikes for a couple of days, which was fab!
We found some fantastic restaurants on both Brac and the other islands and I’ll let the others fill you in on those.
The whole experience was fantastic and massive thanks to you (and Lou!) for all your organisation.
